Special structures

Studio Masciotta deals with the design of complex steel structures, either self-standing or embedded in the appurtenant concrete structures of hydroelectric plants.

It has designed, with proper numeric models, that stresses induced into the concrete by the steel components designed by the plant engineers (penstocks, gates, hydraulic pistons, cranes) were compatible with the concrete of the civil works with which they interfered, often proposing improving design solutions.
