The firm offers different architectural and engineering services from concept design to detailed design and construction plans; provides also post‐contract onsite supervision.

Our history

In 1958 eng. Leonardo Masciotta set up his consulting engineering business in Rome. Today eng. Alessandro Masciotta and arch. Letizia Masciotta continue the activity of their father. The business has grown involving both architectural and civil consulting services for Italian and foreign clients. The company provides design consultancy services including Engineering services, Architectural Design, Planning, Urban Design and Interior Design all underpinned by a proven commitment to Sustainability.

Our leader

Alessandro Masciotta has more than 20 years of experience as a designer of large civil works including dams and hydropower projects, roads, bridges, buildings, acqueducts, galleries. He has worked in more than 10 countries (Georgia, Turkey, Romania, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Zambia, Tanzania, Ethiopia, China).

Our mission

Studio Masciotta follows the development of the projects starting from the basic design until the final constructive drawings. Main engineering services provided:

• Stability analysis of gravity, arch-gravity and arch dams and their appurtenant structures, such as spillways, bridges, buildings, galleries

• Design of complex steel structures, either self-standing or embedded in the appurtenant concrete structures of hydroelectric plants weir

• Study of the seismic behavior of new and existing structures, through the use of advanced engineering solutions

• Advanced FEM linear and nonlinear analysis (static, linear and nonlinear transient seismic, seepage, thermal analyses)

• Design and construction supervision of civil works architecturally and structurally complex, both in Italy and abroad

• Interface with on-site engineers through the phase of design and during construction
